Meet the Doctor

Dr. Marc Lippas

Dr. Marc received his DDS degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 1986. He has been practicing full-scale family dentistry ever since with his wife Dr. Katie. He is committed to the conservative treatment of patients, always educating them about their dental needs and treatment options, being mindful of each patient’s circumstances.

A Career in Dental Implants

Dr. Marc’s special interest in dental implants started soon after beginning his practice. His training in oral implantology, which he completed in 1989 from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, allows him to place and restore all types of implants. With continued study in the field, Dr. Lippas achieved Associate Fellow status in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the only organization in the country that grants credentials based on oral and written examination. Both Dr. Katie and Dr. Marc held live surgical and implant seminars at their Dallas office, and both attend continuing education seminars annually.

As a member of the Global Committee of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Dr. Marc has lectured on the medical and physical suitability for dental implants at the Stomatological Institute and Hospital in Chengdu China, and has diagnosed cases with Chinese colleagues at the Beijing Hospital of Stomatology.

Education and Academic Publishings

In Dental School in the early 1980s, Dr. Marc and his wife Katie jointly presented some of the first Electron Micrograph studies of laser irradiation of tooth structure. Dr. Marc also co-authored seven articles dealing with the same subject, laser irradiation of tooth structure, and was published in the early 1990s in journals such as the Journal of the American Dental Association, and the British Journal of Dentistry. During collegiate graduate school, Dr. Lippas published his thesis on parasitic diseases of the eye, revealing why people go blind in the third world in the tertiary stages of sleeping sickness, a problem in the field of Immunology. He was also a teaching assistant in basic immunology.

Dr Lippas earned his undergraduate degrees, a Bachelor of Art in History and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southern Methodist University in 1977, followed by an Master of Science in Biology in 1979.
